The Next Move Movement
Health becomes more possible when people can understand their choices, move with confidence, and belong without having to explain or defend who they are.
Move with knowledge. Belong without conditions. Choose without pressure.
Next Move Care is the organization. The Next Move Method guides individual support through Listen → Map → Move → Review. The Next Move Movement is the community-facing mission that carries those values into public education, connection, and advocacy. It is not a separate company, paid membership, or political organization.
Our community commitments
A movement should change how people are treated.
Move for life, not punishment
Center strength, function, confidence, pleasure, and everyday independence rather than shame or appearance.
Talk about food without judgment
Respect culture, access, appetite, health needs, and the realities of daily life while keeping clinical nutrition with qualified professionals.
Put evidence before products
Help people organize medication and supplement lists, locate public evidence sources, and prepare questions for a pharmacist or prescriber without selling products, receiving affiliate income, or promising cures.
Protect chosen family and identity
Make room for partners, chosen family, pronouns, culture, disability, faith, language, and the animal companions who help make a life feel whole.
Keep access visible
Offer public education, English and Arabic support, transparent boundaries, and reduced-rate pathways as capacity allows.
Belonging is part of health
People should not have to defend who they are to receive respectful support.
LGBTQ+ people, including transgender people and Black transgender women, and chosen families are explicitly welcome. Inclusive language means little unless it changes the experience of asking for help. Our commitment appears in the questions we ask, the assumptions we avoid, the people a client wants involved, and the plan we build together.
- Names and pronouns: We use the name and pronouns each person asks us to use.
- Partners and chosen family: We ask who should be involved and help make the client's wishes visible, subject to authorization and applicable law.
- Privacy: No one must disclose an identity to ask for support, and identity information is not shared without permission within an accepted scope.
- No assumptions: We do not assume family structure, gender, sexuality, faith, culture, capacity, or goals.
- Accountability: We can help organize concerns, prepare questions, and find an official complaint pathway without declaring wrongdoing or providing legal advice.
Independent by design
Your next move should not be shaped by someone else's sale.
Next Move Care does not accept paid referrals, sell supplements, receive affiliate commissions, or guarantee outcomes. When we help identify professionals or community resources, we explain the criteria used and disclose any real relationship. The client independently selects, contracts with, and pays every outside professional; outside professionals are not Next Move Care employees, agents, or subcontractors. A connection is not an endorsement or a transfer of professional responsibility.
Medical, nutrition, pharmacy, rehabilitation, legal, and other regulated advice remains with the appropriately qualified professional. Collaboration should expand understanding—not blur responsibility.

Happening now
Plain-language resources, bilingual RN-led support, affirming care navigation for adults age 18 and older, accepted residence visits, observational home-safety assessment, medication-list reconciliation, administrative appeal support, general movement education and goal organization, community-resource connections, and access pricing for individual services.
Being developed
Direct personal training, group movement activities, healthy-aging programs, community conversations, and public educational sessions—introduced only when scope, safety, access, and accountability are ready.
Future ideas are directions, not promises of programs that do not yet exist.
Cultural humility and solidarity
Community speaks for itself. Our role is to listen and connect.
Next Move Care is Iraqi-owned, LGBTQ+-owned, and offers support in English and Arabic, including Iraqi Arabic. Lived experience can deepen listening, but it does not make one person an authority on every member of a community. We approach Black, Palestinian, Iraqi, Irish, South African, Latino, Indigenous, immigrant, refugee, disabled, older, multiracial, and faith communities with humility rather than assumed expertise.
Learn, measure, improve
Quality improvement belongs in a community promise.
- Ask whether people felt heard, respected, and clearer about what came next.
- Review whether plans were understandable and realistic in daily life.
- Correct public information when evidence, law, or services change.
- Track access barriers without collecting more private information than necessary.
- Invite feedback from the communities represented in the work.
